Cro ‘Easy’

Today’s post will make this blog just that little bit more diverse, but hey I never said I’d stick to one thing!

Described as the ‘Phantom’ of German rap, Cro has already been likened to several American artists, such as Kid Cudi, B.O.B and most frequently Mac Miller….. and it is easy to see why.

His lyrical content is pretty similar to Mr Miller. Though Cro raps in German, he serves his music with great beats and breaks, a light hearted feel and a healthy dose of confidence. Like Mac he is very young, and chooses rather wisely not to tackle issues beyond his 19 years on earth.

Easy is a chilled track which seems to use a sample and sees him singing on the chorus. The video has a nice fun vibe to it, though you will notice that he isn’t in it. Well I did say he was known as a phantom and this is why. He never reveals his face, performing with masks, not appearing in his own videos and never showing his face on packshots means his identity is truly a mystery. Though I’m sure his elusiveness all helps feed his persona and set him out as the new uber cool kid in the German music scene. People are calling him the future of German rap and I have to say, I definitely agree!
